The City of Alexandria seeks an Equipment Operator III in Wastewater Collection to operate heavy equipment (jetvacs and sewer video trucks) and perform manual tasks supporting maintenance of streets, drainage, and utilities. You may lead on occasion and must be able to work 24-hour call shifts.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED and a valid Class B CDL with possible Class A endorsements; two years of relevant experience preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience operating heavy equipment for roadway or utility infrastructure maintenance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class B CDL; state requirements may include Class A endorsements in some assignments.

Responsabilidades

• Operate sewer jetting and video trucks to unclog pipes and clear debris.
• Inspect and prep equipment; perform light maintenance; clean and secure vehicles after use.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with supervisors and other departments.
• Communicate status and needs to supervisors and other personnel.
