Maricopa County Department of Public Health seeks a Wastewater Surveillance Epidemiologist II to manage advanced wastewater data and analytics, compile reports, and build disease surveillance tools. You will work within the Office of Communicable Disease Data, Surveillance, and Outbreak Response to deliver data-driven insights and dashboards for stakeholders.

The role emphasizes collaboration with local, state, and federal partners, with a contract end date anticipated for December 31, 2028.

Qualifications

• Two years of epidemiological or statistical analysis experience.
• Master's Degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related public health field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Experience with wastewater data is valued.
• Proficiency in R or SAS recommended.

Responsabilités

• Analyze wastewater data and generate data summary reports and visualizations.
• Collaborate with local, state, and federal partners on monitoring activities.
• Manage data processing pipelines and maintain data quality.
• Develop surveillance dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide training and protocols for surveillance staff.
