Maricopa County Public Health seeks a Wastewater Surveillance Epidemiologist II to advance data management and analytics for community health. You will compile, analyze, and visualize wastewater data, producing reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

The role collaborates with local, state, and federal partners, coordinating data pipelines and enhancing surveillance tools. Requires a Master's in epidemiology/biostatistics and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing epidemiological or statistical analysis.
• Master's Degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related Public Health Field.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced wastewater analyses, data integration, and data quality troubleshooting using R or similar statistical tools.
• Collaborates with local, state, and national partners to maintain wastewater monitoring systems and data quality.
• Produces wastewater-based epidemiological reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develops training and protocols for Surveillance Branch personnel on wastewater monitoring processes.
• Supports program enhancement initiatives like site recruitment and partner engagement.
