Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to join our Coralville, IA office. The role involves collaborating with engineers, CAD technicians, and office staff on civil, municipal, and environmental projects, with a focus on wastewater and water treatment design.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years of environmental engineering experience and a PE/EIT pathway, with the ability to obtain licensure within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water design/construction.
• IA or NE P.E. license or EIT certification with ability to obtain P.E. license within 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Business Development, including initiation of client contacts and preparation of project proposals.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
