Job summary

Kleinfelder seeks a full-time Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Kansas City, MO office, working with engineers, CAD technicians, and field staff on municipal and environmental projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred) and 5–10+ years in environmental design, including wastewater and drinking water treatment design. MO/KS PE license or EIT with PE within 1 year preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-10+ years of environmental engineering design experience.
• Experience in municipal wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Business Development, including initiation of client contacts and preparation of project proposals.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
