City of Port Arthur is seeking an entry-level Technician I for Wastewater Conveyance in Port Arthur, TX. This role performs semi-skilled labor in construction, maintenance and related service activities within the water/wastewater utility operations for the city.

The position is non-exempt, pays hourly with DOE and Q between $18.39 and $27.06, and requires completion of the twelfth grade or GED. Work involves safety-conscious operation of equipment and field duties.

Formación

• Must be able to perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in maintenance activities.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
• Basic safety and equipment operation knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Maintain safety at work sites; set up barricades and safety devices.
• Assist with water/wastewater utility operations and related duties.
• Read and interpret work orders and report progress to supervisor.
