We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Operator to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a Class II wastewater treatment facility. This role requires hands-on operational expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to serve in Direct Responsible Charge (DRC).
The ideal candidate is flexible to work second or third shift, holds a Level A or Level III Wastewater License, and brings proven experience in wastewater operations and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the overall environmental compliance program for the wastewater treatment system
- Oversee required monitoring, sampling, reporting, and recordkeeping in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, including pumps and related equipment
- Perform process control laboratory testing and document results accurately
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and respond to operational repairs
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and Process Safety Management
- Identify, prevent, and report unsafe conditions or practices
- Support facility operations while acting in Direct Responsible Charge as required
Education & Experience Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Science or Engineering from an accredited institution OR equivalent approved coursework
- 4+ years of acceptable operating experience in Class II wastewater facilities
- 2+ years serving in a Direct Responsible Charge (DRC) role
- Demonstrated ability to rebuild and maintain pumps and wastewater equipment
Certifications & Licensing (Required)
- Wastewater License
- Level III Wastewater License (required)
- Level A license preferred
