Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years’ wastewater experience or 2 years in Waste Water Collection Maintenance I.
• OSHA Confined Space Entry, Trenching and Shoring certification required.
• Ability to supervise a small crew and perform heavy manual labor.
• Valid Utah CDL Class A license and ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator License within 6 months.
• Knowledge of wastewater collection systems and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect and repair sewer lines and facilities using TV inspection equipment.
• Install connections and new pipe, perform minor concrete work.
• Operate heavy equipment including trucks, loaders and backhoes as needed.
• Train new workers and complete work orders and inspection reports.
• Ensure safety compliance and stop work if standards are not met.
• Complete permits for confined spaces, trenching and hot work.
