Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation seeks a Wastewater Plant Maintenance Operator IV (may underfill I–III) to lead major maintenance tasks, supervise junior staff, and train personnel at the Public Utilities wastewater facility.

The role requires extensive experience with boilers, chillers, pumps, motors and related equipment, plus the ability to plan maintenance strategies and coordinate with contractors. A CDL is desired, with benefits including health, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license or Utah driving privilege card.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wastewater plant equipment and systems.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities and training.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment, read performance charts, and ensure safety procedures.
