Job summary

Saige Partners seeks a Civil Engineering Team Leader to establish and grow a leading practice in Central Iowa. You will recruit, mentor, and supervise civil engineers, manage a portfolio of municipal and private water and wastewater projects, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.

You will lead business development, strengthen relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, while upholding regulatory requirements in a dynamic, employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• PE license in Iowa or ability to obtain licensure
• 8+ years progressive Civil Engineering experience
• 5+ years in project leadership, team management, or business development
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a growing civil engineering team
• Provide leadership for municipal infrastructure and private development projects
• Build and strengthen client relationships and pursue new opportunities
• Lead business development: networking, proposals, RFPs, presentations, contract negotiations
• Serve as primary client liaison throughout project lifecycles
• Oversee project execution, schedule, budget, and quality controls
• Provide coaching and professional development for staff
• Collaborate with executives to drive strategic growth in Central Iowa
