Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a Wastewater Level A Operator in Millsboro, DE to manage water treatment operations and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a Level III WW license, and at least two years in Direct Responsible Charge, with a Wednesday to Saturday night shift (6:00pm–6:30am).

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for licensed operators. The candidate will oversee monitoring, safety, operations, and lab work, with an Associate's degree in science/engineering or equivalent credits

Qualifications

• Requires Level III Waste Water license and Direct Responsible Charge experience.
• Associates degree or equivalent credits in science/engineering.
• 4 years of operating wastewater facility experience; two years in Direct Responsible Charge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental compliance for the water treatment system and monitor/report results per regulations.
• Enforce safety, PPE use, and lockout/tagout procedures; address unsafe acts and conditions.
• Operate water treatment system; maintain maintenance schedule; respond to repairs.
• Maintain compliance records and perform process control lab work.

Job description

A Wastewater Level A Operator understands most of the overall operations; should be able to rebuild all pumps/equipment. Will have a Level III WW License and have at least two years acting in a position of Direct Responsible Charge. Wednesday - Saturday 6:00pm - 6:30am

$5,000 Sign On Bonus for Licensed Operators.

Duties/Activities Required by Job:

• Assist in the control of the overall environmental compliance program for water treatment system. This includes oversight of all required monitoring and reporting sample results required by federal, state and local regulations.
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lock out Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
• Operation of the Water Treatment system, able to maintain maintenance schedule and respond to repairs.
• Compliance Recordkeeping.
• Perform Process Control lab work.

Educations/Experience Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent credit hours in any other curriculum board approved.
• 4 years of acceptable Operating Experience in Wastewater Facilities of Class II or higher; two years in a position of Direct Responsible Charge.
• Level III WW license.
