Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems in Creedmoor, TX is seeking a Transfer Driver to move waste and recycling from transfer stations to landfills and the Material Recovery Facility. You will operate a tractor-trailer safely in compliance with trucking regulations and provide courteous, professional service.

Requirements include a valid Texas Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Class A CDL and safe driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in operating on-board technology and road systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time in uniform with PPE.
• Drive tractor-trailer (10 tons capacity) to designated destinations.
• Maintain radio/phone contact with base and follow dispatch instructions.
• Operate vehicle safely, including site and over-the-road conditions.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Document route changes and notify dispatcher of issues.
• Record data in the on-board computer system.
• Keep cab clean and submit Vehicle Condition Reports.
• Monitor DOT hours of service and report at risk of non-compliance.
• Report moving violations or accidents to supervisor within 72 hours.
• Maintain valid Medical Card and Driver’s License.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
