Base pay range

$50,456.00/yr - $62,218.00/yr

Responsibilities

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

This position is responsible for effective coordination, segregation, packaging, storage, and shipping of hazardous wastes. Advises laboratory and facility personnel on aspects of hazardous materials disposal and assumes responsibility for the accuracy and reliability in complying with regulatory requirements.

Key Duties:

  • Replace full drums and gaylords of waste with properly labeled empty drums and gaylords
  • Utilize various drum moving equipment from a drum cart to a forklift
  • Inspect hazardous waste areas and maintain compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations
  • Oversees the safe and proper removal of hazardous waste from the facility with approved hazardous waste contractors
  • Sign appropriate waste manifests and LDRs
  • Check all spill kits and replenish stock as necessary
  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Other Facilities support duties as assigned

Upon completion of construction, the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in 2025. Until then, the role will be based at Breen Technology Center, located at 601 Canal Road, Cleveland, OH 44113.

  • Physically fit with the ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Team Player

Preferred:

  • Certification of forklift operation
