About the Role

We are recruiting a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote EKG Monitor Technician to join our team. In this role, you will monitor and analyze ECG data in live and retrospective environments, make timely notifications based on clinical protocols, and triage cardiac strips in real time. This position is crucial for delivering high-quality patient care through ECG analysis in a fast-paced, remote setting.

This role includes a comprehensive two-week training program, combining remote classroom instruction with hands-on, on-the-job training to ensure proficiency.

What you'll do:

1. Monitor and interpret ECG data from live telemetry and retrospective recordings.
2. Review patient ECG data and algorithm findings for clinical accuracy, ensuring data quality.
3. Identify and triage cardiac strips in live monitoring, escalating findings per protocols.
4. Make timely notification calls based on priority levels, communicating effectively with physicians and staff.
5. Perform quality assurance on reports, making necessary modifications before final delivery.
6. Read, interpret, and report on 90-second ECG strips accurately.
7. Communicate ECG abnormalities to physicians and follow up with patients as needed.
8. Develop ECG interpretation skills, meeting productivity and quality metrics.
9. Maintain HIPAA compliance, ensuring patient confidentiality.
10. Demonstrate strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills and complete certifications on time.
11. Uphold a strong work ethic, ensuring reports are accurate and beneficial.

What you'll need:

• Certification in one of the following: [list certifications]
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• At least 2 years’ experience in EKG monitoring or remote cardiac monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and ECG interpretation.
• Ability to work independently remotely and manage tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency with telemetry software, remote monitoring platforms, and EHR.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable high-speed internet and HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in remote EKG monitoring or cardiac diagnostic centers; 5+ years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information:

This role pays $22 per hour.
