Job summary

Arakelian Enterprises Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to manage daily waste collection routes, monitor driver and helper performance, and coach teams on productivity and safety.

The role rides along routes, coordinates with maintenance and sales, enforces DOT and OSHA regulations, tracks hours, and leads weekly safety meetings to promote a compliant, accident-free operation. This position requires leadership, problem solving, and bilingual ability in English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledgeable in Federal DOT regulations.
• Knowledgeable in OSHA standard regulations.
• Exceptional leadership abilities.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, distribute, monitor daily route assignments to ensure service per standards.
• Ensure drivers are available daily and cover absences with spare resources.
• Monitor route changes and communicate procedures to drivers.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Operations Manager to optimize routes and resources.
• Monitor driver and helper time and attendance to minimize overtime.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and coach on safety practices.
• Assist in maintaining budget performance and reducing overweights.
