Job summary

Hamilton County is hiring for Solid Waste Community Program Coordinator or Specialist in Cincinnati, OH. The role supports waste management programs, outreach, data analysis, and administrative tasks to drive recycling and disposal initiatives.

Two levels offer growth: Coordinator with starting pay $23.59/hr and Specialist with starting pay $26.29/hr. Position is full-time, on-site, with benefits and PTO, plus retirement eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, public administration, business, education, or related environmental field.
• One (1) year’s relevant work experience.
• Or equivalent combinations of education, training, and/or experience.
• Valid Driver's License issued by the state of residency.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with communities and present outreach plans.
• Provide technical support, prepare bid specs and grants, review district plans.
• Help manage the container loan program and assist with special projects.
• Attend events, respond to public inquiries, and prepare reports on program impact.
• Ensure regular attendance and support other staff as needed.
