Job summary

Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling is seeking a supervisory professional to oversee field operations, lead equipment operators, and coordinate with program managers. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient waste and recycling services while ensuring customer satisfaction and team development.

The position requires a Utah Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card, with a schedule Monday–Friday and a typical 9 am–5 pm shift. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in a field closely related to these duties, one year in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Must possess a valid Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and valid DOT Medical Card at the time of employment.
• General proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong ability to supervise multiple teams and coordinate daily work orders.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and provides support for work groups and lead operators across services, allocates personnel and equipment to meet demand.
• Provides training and retraining for all District employees, including new hires and post-accident training.
• Creates and conducts operator safety trainings and classroom trainings for new drivers and mentors.
• Responds to customer concerns and educates customers about services, resolving conflicts in the field.
• Leads performance evaluations, coaching, and improvements to workforce efficiency.
• Ensures daily routes, inspections, and service orders are completed on time and documented.
