Job summary

Envita Solutions, a division of The Heritage Group, is seeking a Waste Handling Technician to perform collection, movement, sorting, and processing of wastes in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient material flow.

Essential duties include loading/unloading wastes, operating material handling equipment, sorting for further processing, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority and follow all policies.
• Load and unload solid/liquid waste and recyclables safely according to regulations.
• Move materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts within the facility.
• Operate equipment like balers, shredders, grinders, extractors, pumps, tanks, and pressure washers.
• Sort materials according to guidelines for further processing.
• Perform cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
