Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a capable supervisor in Houston to lead product line personnel, recruit, interview, hire, train, and discipline staff while ensuring safe and efficient operations. You will manage paperwork, schedules, and driver logs to maintain high service levels.

The role emphasizes CDL compliance, safety leadership, and effective team management in a fast-paced waste/transport environment in Houston.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in waste or transportation industry and/or truck driving experience preferred.
At least 1 year supervisory experience OR 1 year as a GFL Environmental Lead Driver.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, hire, train and discipline all product line personnel.
Address complaints and resolve problems as they arise.
Ensure proper paperwork for drivers including truck reports, driver logs and inspections.
Schedule drivers and toter/helpers effectively.
Monitor route completion and customer satisfaction; resolve issues.
Direct collection and disposal services to optimize personnel and equipment.
Establish productivity standards at each operation phase.
Ensure compliance with CDL driver regulations.
Maintain inventory of safety equipment and supplies.
Promote and conduct safety programs and meetings.
