Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Charlotte, NC seeks a Civil Engineer to support solid waste projects through design, analysis, and field work.

You’ll contribute to airspace calculations, stormwater design, landfill systems, and QA for cap construction, collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure compliant, durable solutions. The role blends office and field work, with emphasis on data management, reporting, and ensuring project deliverables meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Internship experience preferred.
• EIT certification.
• Experience using Microsoft Office for technical docs/communication.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or HydroCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses and technical evaluations.
• Prepare reports, design plans, specs, and docs.
• Design stormwater systems and landfill infrastructure.
• Conduct field work including CQA for landfill projects.
• Manage and analyze project data for design and compliance.
• Coordinate with teams, clients, contractors, and field staff.
