Job summary

CVS Health Corporation is seeking a Waste & Error Certified Coding Manager to lead the Certified Coding Analysts and W&E Team Lead. You will drive coding audits, manage performance, ensure compliance, and deliver measurable business results.

This hybrid, full-time role requires extensive coding expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to partner with Legal, Compliance, Medical Directors, and other stakeholders to optimize reimbursement integrity.

Qualifications

• Active certification and significant coding/auditing experience.
• 5+ years in medical coding, claims review, auditing, or related areas.
• 2+ years in people leadership or supervision.
• Experience leading coding quality programs and workload management.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CMS 1500/UB-04 and reimbursement rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Certified Coding Analysts and Senior Certified Coding Analysts.
• Oversee staffing, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Monitor workload, productivity, and quality to meet service levels.
• Ensure accurate application of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and related requirements.
• Act as escalation point for complex coding questions and policy interpretation.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
