Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Waste & Error Certified Coding Manager to lead the Certified Coding Analysts and oversee audits, quality, and compliance. The role requires strong leadership, extensive coding experience, and collaboration with Legal, Medical Directors, and Compliance to drive risk mitigation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC Certified Coder CPC, CCS, RHIT or RN license.
• 5+ years of medical coding, claims review, auditing, or payment integrity.
• 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
• Experience with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CMS 1500, UB-04 and reimbursement requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Certified Coding Analysts and Senior CACs.
• Oversee staffing, onboarding, training, and performance management for the coding team.
• Ensure coding audits and reviews meet quality and service level expectations.
• Monitor workload, productivity trends, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, Compliance, and Medical Directors to resolve issues.
• Prepare and present performance results to leadership.
