Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Compliance Monitor to improve recycling and organics diversion by analyzing client waste streams and coordinating service adjustments. The role suits organized, self-driven professionals who can work independently and travel to client locations as needed.

You will audit waste streams, document findings, and collaborate with Operations to ensure program compliance, while educating clients on benefits and best practices.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience auditing waste streams and reporting findings.
• Ability to travel to client locations and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Audit commercial and residential waste streams to identify contamination and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct waste audits including materials types, weight data, photos, and audit reports.
• Coordinate audit logistics with Operations and travel to client sites.
• Travel to client locations to perform audits and attend education events.
• Perform site visits to ensure program compliance and explain benefits.
• Distribute informational materials to promote participation.
• Observe routes and enforce recycling/organics program rules.
• Monitor customer compliance and maintain waste evaluation files.
• Document and report daily activities using Excel or cloud tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
