Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory seeks a Waste Certification Analyst to support the SRNL Waste Program by managing excess chemicals, waste residues, legacy materials and equipment disposition, including low-level and TRU wastes. The role serves as the primary interface with Solid Waste Management Facilities for waste shipment planning and documentation.

You will assist in regulatory compliance, develop sampling plans and support field activities, and help define requirements for waste

Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED with at least 2-3 years of practical experience as a Qualified GCO.
AS degree in a closely related discipline with at least 1 years of experience as a Qualified GCO.
BS degree in closely related discipline and at least years of practical experience as a Qualified GCO.

Responsibilities

Managing excess chemicals, waste residues, legacy materials and equipment disposition including Low-level radioactive and TRU wastes.
Preparing waste manifests and associated documentation.
Directing waste packaging and transfer activities.
Providing waste transfer / shipment information for facility schedules.
Coordinating material transfer with Chemical Coordinators, Site Trucking and other resources.
Providing input to annual Waste Forecasts.
Performing monthly and weekly waste management storage area field inspections.
