Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory seeks a Waste Certification Analyst to manage SRNL’s waste program, including excess chemicals, legacy materials, and various waste streams. The role interfaces with Solid Waste Management Facilities and coordinates manifests, packaging, and transfer activities to ensure safe, compliant shipments.

Responsibilities include supporting regulatory changes, defining waste management procedures, assisting radiological characterization, and contributing to waste

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with at least 3 years of practical experience as a Qualified GCO
• AS degree in a closely related discipline with at least 2 years of experience as a Qualified GCO
• BS degree in closely related discipline and at least 1 year of practical experience as a Qualified GCO

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between SRNL and Solid Waste Management Facilities personnel for waste shipment planning and logistics.
• Prepare waste manifests and associated documentation; direct waste packaging and transfer activities.
• Coordinate material transfer with Chemical Coordinators, Site Trucking and other resources; provide waste transfer/shipment information for facility schedules.
• Provide input to annual Waste Forecasts and conduct periodic waste stream validation and sampling plan development.
