Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking a Senior Waste Certification Analyst to manage waste disposition, manifests, and shipments for a comprehensive waste program at the SRNL site. The role involves coordinating with facilities, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting annual waste forecasting and inspections.

Candidates should have relevant education and experience and be eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of waste management and regulatory requirements.
• Experience coordinating waste shipments, documentation, and scheduling.
• Ability to assess regulatory changes and advise management.
• Eligibility to obtain/maintain security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Manage excess chemicals, waste residues, legacy materials and equipment disposition efforts including low-level and TRU wastes.
• Prepare waste manifests and related documentation; direct waste packaging and transfer activities.
• Coordinate with site personnel and resources for waste transfer and shipment planning.
• Support waste forecasting and perform periodic waste stream validation and sampling plan activities.
