Job summary

Novo Health Services in Atlanta is seeking a Soiled Linen Separator at our Healthcare Laundry facility. The role requires quick decision-making, clear communication, and a commitment to measurable performance and continuous improvement.

Essential duties include opening bags at the breakout table, moving carts, sorting bath towels, gowns and sheets, weighing slings, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in health care, manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and lift items from machines for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Open up bags at the breakout table and send linen up the belt.
• Move and manage carts; break down soil cart and replace with an empty one.
• Break open bags and sort pieces on the belt into categories (large pieces, underwear, gowns, sheets, towels).
• Weigh and record full slings, hang them, and ensure accurate data.

If you are ready to make a commitment to measurable performance and continuous improvements, then we want to hear from you!**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*** Open up bags at the breakout table and send linen up the belt.* The primary cart mover (the attendant closest to the soil cart) brings the empty soil cart away from the belt, puts a new cart in the area, and takes the empty cart and pushes it to the cart area.* The bag breaker attendant breaks open the bags.* The attendants on the belt perform the following tasks: + One attendant sorts large pieces consisting of bath blankets, flat sheets, draw sheets, and thermals. + The second attendant sorts the second largest pieces – underpants, patient gowns, and fitted sheets. + The third attendant will handle all the rest of the pieces, such as bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and scrubs.* The last stage of the soil room process is hoist and weigh or staging.
