Job summary

Heinen’s Grocery Store is seeking a Retail Professional to uphold The Diamond Difference standards across the department. You will model professional appearance, engage customers, and maintain store conditions using our 5-Step QCSSS framework for excellence.

Responsibilities include assisting kitchen staff, keeping dish areas clean, and adhering to sanitation and safety policies while meeting daily priorities and flexible scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Frequent lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including Saturday, Sunday and evenings.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions, hot or cold.

Responsibilities

• Provide other associates with assistance in the kitchen, as needed, and follow all sanitary and health-related processes.
• Clean dish storage areas.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual cleaning methods.
• Follow sanitation policies at all times.
• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Comply with all personal and food safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
