Job summary

Heinen’s is seeking a Retail Professional to join our team in a part-time capacity, with up to 22 hours per week and evening/weekend availability. This role emphasizes customer service, brand standards, and daily store responsibilities across checkout and floor operations.

As an associate, you’ll follow our quality and service guidelines, learn store operations, and participate in ongoing meetings and training. Promotion opportunities may be available based on performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work independently to achieve daily tasks.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production driven with the ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Willing to work the non-traditional five-day schedule, including Saturday, Sunday and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics.
• Accept payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate.
• Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol.
• Follow company standards for proper packing.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the store.
• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
