Walbec Group is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to support quarry operations for producing aggregate and construction materials. The role involves operating the processing plant, loaders, and related equipment in a safe, efficient manner, with daily site inspections and maintenance tasks.

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to plant procedures as it supports projects across the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
• Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while performing daily inspections of the plant site.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site, including shoveling and skid‑steer operation.
• Assist in plant maintenance and repairs, including labor work, cutting, fabricating, and welding.
• Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position

We’re looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator working as part of quarry operations to produce aggregate and construction materials. Quarry operations include maintaining and operating the processing plant (crushers, screens, wash-plants), operating loaders to feed the processing plant, and assisting in the stockpile and load-out of finished product. Crush/wash operators are responsible for operating several types of construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This equipment may include, but is not limited to, loaders, skid steers, water trucks, man lifts, dozers, and excavators.
