Summary
The Warranty Technician position will be responsible for managing Stop Sale and PUP (Product Update Program) recall notices using our advanced GDS (Global Distribution System) tablet. Additionally, this position requires entry-level mechanical skills to assist in efficiently resolving recall-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the GDS tablet for executing stop-sale and PUP (Pick Up and Preparation) procedures, which may involve vehicle breakdown and diagnostics according to customer instruction sheets
- Employing the internal system, iVeles, to access vehicle information and manage Repair Order submissions
- Proficiently replacing and installing various parts, including tires, performing oil changes, conducting wheel alignments, and inspecting vehicle fluids
- Skillfully operating tire/wheel machinery and performing wheel road force balancing and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) installation during tire replacements
- Assisting in maintaining the company's fleet of approximately 6-12 vehicles, which includes reviewing vehicle dashboards for issues, scheduling oil changes, submitting tire requests, and offering recommendations for potential vehicle upgrades
- Collaborating with the Operations department to prioritize service for aging vehicles and potentially expediting services based on customer requirements
- Demonstrating proficiency in using vehicle mechanic tools, such as hand tools, impact guns/drills, and tire balance machines
- Ensuring knowledge and compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements based on the specific tasks performed, including mechanical gloves, eye protection, and other necessary PPE depending on vehicle conditions
- Facilitate parts procurement by analyzing vehicle breakdowns and determining the necessary components for effective vehicle repairs
- Contribute to the installation of Parts and Interior Options (PIO) within vehicles, encompassing tasks such as fitting tow hitches, interior lighting, and scuff plates. Exterior components may involve the installation of mudguards, wheel locks, bumper appliques, and crossbars
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling hazardous materials (Hazmat) such as oils and solvents, which are commonly used during vehicle maintenance. Adherence to proper disposal procedures will be guided through comprehensive on-site training
- All other duties as assigned
Compensation
$50,000-$60,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.DRequired
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Automotive Repair and/or Vehicle Maintenance Required
- 4 - 7 years of experience in Automotive Repair, and/or Vehicle Maintenance Preferred
- Training in HazMat / Vehicle Maintenance Required
- Valid Driver's License Required
