Job summary

Power Plumbing is seeking a dependable Warranty Technician to support Austin and San Antonio-area projects. Diagnose and repair warranty issues, work with property managers and residents, and represent the company after the job is done. You’ll travel to sites, maintain a clean work area, and use company software for documentation.

A valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, with a focus on fixing issues right the first time and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Texas Journeyman Plumbing License is required.
• 3+ years plumbing experience, preferably in multi-family or new construction.
• Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.
• Own a personal set of basic hand tools; company provides specialty tools.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Respond to warranty calls and complete service in a timely, professional manner.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues on site, including leaks and water heaters.
• Work in occupied units with care for residents' homes.
• Document work orders, materials used, and photos using company software.

About the Role

Power Plumbing is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Warranty Technician to support our San Antonio and Austin-area projects. In this role, you'll go back to multi-family and new construction projects after turnover to diagnose and repair issues covered under warranty on our completed projects, and assist with items on our current Active projects as needed. You'll work directly with property managers, residents, and general contractors, and you'll be the face of Power Plumbing after the job is done. The right person takes pride in fixing it right the first time and leaving every customer confident in our work. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Key Responsibilities

Warranty Service & Repairs

• Respond to assigned warranty calls and complete service in a timely, professional manner.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, drain stoppages, fixture and trim problems, water heaters, and supply and waste lines.
• Work in occupied and unoccupied units, keeping work areas clean and respecting residents' homes.
• Identify the root cause of recurring issues and report installation or product concerns to the Warranty and Quality teams.
• Follow all safety rules, codes, and company standards on every call.

Documentation & Communication

• Utilizing the software programs we currently have in place to document each call accurately, including what was found, work completed, materials used, and before-and-after photos.
• Communicate clearly with property managers, residents, and superintendents about scheduling, findings, and next steps.
• Keep the Warranty department updated on call status, delays, and any work needing a return visit.
• Maintain an organized, stocked vehicle and tool inventory.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum Texas Journeyman Plumbing License
• 3+years of plumbing experience, preferably in multi-family or new construction.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional, courteous communication with customers, residents, and other trades.
• Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Own a personal set of basic hand tools. Power Plumbing provides all specialty tools.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills for work orders, photos, email, and scheduling.

Preferred

• Prior warranty or service plumbing experience.
• Experience with water heater diagnosis and repair.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Full-time, field-based position traveling to job sites throughout the Austin area.
• Work in attics, crawl spaces, tight areas, and outdoor conditions, including Texas heat.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs; climb ladders, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Regular daytime hours, with occasional additional hours based on call volume.
