NSK Americas is seeking a Warranty Engineer/Reliability Engineer to lead warranty analysis, investigate failures, and drive reliability improvements across products and processes. The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and clear technical communication.

Based in Ann Arbor, this position involves office and lab work with data management, trend analysis, and occasional travel to sites or customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of warranty, reliability, or product engineering experience.
• Experience with root cause analysis and failure investigation.
• Strong data analysis and statistical skills.
• Experience with databases such as SQL or Access.
• Familiarity with CQI-14 Automotive Warranty Management.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with OEM customers.
• Familiarity with warranty systems and field return processes.
• Advanced statistical analysis tool experience.

Responsabilités

• Prepare technical reports and present findings to leadership and customers.
• Combine observations, program history, warranty performance, and lab analyses for root cause investigations.
• Provide technical feedback to engineers/technicians on observations and measurement methods.
• Use quality tools such as FTA, PDCA, and process documentation.
• Review analysis sheets for accuracy and logic.
• Propose actions to reduce warranty costs and improve claims share.
• Lead root cause analysis for warranty returns and field failures.
• Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers.
