Job summary

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Warranty Quality Administrator for our Troy, MI client, a global automotive components manufacturer. You will manage warranty claims, analyze data and technical findings, and clearly explain approvals, denials, or disputes.

The role collaborates with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing, supports 8D/ISO processes, conducts root-cause analysis, and helps implement new warranty software.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality, warranty, or field failure analysis within manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical findings and communicate clearly to customers.
• Hands-on experience inspecting, testing, or tearing down components.
• Strong Excel skills for charts and data-driven reporting.
• Familiar with 8D, A3, ISO 9001 or Quality Core Tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer warranty claims from initial inquiry through resolution.
• Analyze warranty data, field performance, and product failure trends.
• Coordinate the return, inspection, testing, and disposition of warranty components.
• Work with Quality Technicians on functional testing, teardown, and failure analysis.
• Prepare customer-specific warranty reports, charts, and presentations.
• Participate in customer warranty and quality meetings.
• Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Manage Layered Process Audit schedules, findings, and follow-up.
• Support the implementation of new warranty management software.

Direct Hire | $28-$32/hour | Comprehensive Benefits + Annual Bonus

Our client, a global manufacturer of automotive components, is seeking a Warranty Quality Administrator for its Troy facility.

This is not a traditional administrative role. You’ll manage customer warranty claims, analyze returned components and technical findings, and clearly explain why claims are approved, denied, or disputed.

What You’ll Do

• Manage customer warranty claims from initial inquiry through resolution
• Analyze warranty data, field performance, and product failure trends
• Coordinate the return, inspection, testing, and disposition of warranty components
• Work with Quality Technicians on functional testing, teardown, and failure analysis
• Prepare customer-specific warranty reports, charts, and presentations
• Participate in customer warranty and quality meetings

What We’re Looking For

• Manufacturing experience with a background in quality, warranty, customer quality, or field failure analysis
• Experience handling warranty returns, customer claims, or product performance concernsAbility to interpret technical findings and communicate them clearly to customers
• Hands-on experience inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, or tearing down manufactured components
• Strong Excel skills, including charts, graphs, and data-driven reporting
• Familiarity with 8D, A3, root cause analysis, ISO 9001, or Quality Core Tools
• SAP or ERP experience is helpful

Experience with diesel injectors, fuel systems, automotive components, or remanufactured products is highly preferred, but candidates from other product lines will be considered.
