Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with warranty claims administration in the database.
  • Enter data accurately and generate warranty activity reports.
  • Analyze warranty data to identify trends and support root-cause actions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on warranty performance and status.
  • Participate in warranty review meetings and track issues.
  • Support process mapping, RACI development, and workflow docs.
  • Coordinate parts tracking and outage execution activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams on warranty tasks.
  • Maintain documentation for warranty projects.
  • Support other project management activities as assigned.

Role Overview

The Warranty Project Management Associate supports warranty project management activities for Mitsubishi Power’s power generation fleet. This role provides hands‑on experience in warranty claim administration, process improvement, project coordination, and data analysis. Working closely with the Warranty Project Manager and cross‑functional teams, the intern will help improve warranty workflows, support outage planning activities, and contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and review of warranty claims within the warranty management database.
  • Assist with accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of warranty claim activities.
  • Analyze warranty data and identify trends that support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to warranty performance and claim status.
  • Participate in warranty review meetings and support issue tracking and resolution efforts.
  • Assist with process mapping, RACI development, workflow documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support material tracking and coordination activities for warranty claims and outage execution.
  • Collaborate with technical, engineering, and project management teams to support warranty-related activities.
  • Maintain documentation and records associated with warranty projects and technical support initiatives.
  • Support additional project management and operational activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in project management, process improvement, operations, or power generation.
  • Basic analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to organize information and communicate project status effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with process mapping, data analysis, or project coordination is a plus.

  • Gain practical experience in warranty claim lifecycle management, from claim intake through resolution and closeout.
  • Develop project management skills by supporting process mapping, workflow improvement, and cross‑functional coordination activities.
