Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in automotive warranty analysis, product or quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and fundamentals.
• Experience with teardown analysis and diagnostics of components.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, engineering specs and test reports.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned components.
• Conduct root cause analyses using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree methods.
• Analyze failures in transmission, gearbox, axles, and driveline systems.
• Support disposition, teardown, repairability assessment, and containment actions.
• Collaborate with design, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams.
• Prepare technical reports and failure summaries for leadership.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs to reduce warranty costs.
• Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and PFMEA processes.
