Responsibilities

• Open and close the warming house according to scheduled hours.
• Provide a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment for visitors.
• Monitor the warming house and surrounding areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Perform snow removal as needed to keep walkways clear.
• Enforce warming house and outdoor recreation area rules and ensure visitors follow facility guidelines.
• Rent out skates and snowshoes, assist with checkouts and returns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility and rental equipment.
• Assist visitors with questions and provide information about winter recreation activities.
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all Minot Park District policies and procedures.

The Minot Park District is seeking a dependable and customer-service-oriented individual to serve as a Seasonal Warming House Operator for the winter season, December through March.

Position Responsibilities:

• Open and close the warming house according to scheduled hours.
• Provide a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment for community members.
• Monitor the warming house and surrounding outdoor areas to help ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Perform snow removal as needed to maintain safe and accessible walkways and entrances.
• Enforce warming house and outdoor recreation area rules and ensure visitors follow facility guidelines.
• Rent out skates and snowshoes to visitors, including assisting with equipment checkouts and returns.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility and rental equipment.
• Assist visitors with questions and provide general information about available winter recreation activities.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or other problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow all Minot Park District policies and procedures.

Seasonal Schedule - Very Weather Dependent

December through March

Hours of Operation:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM
