The City of Bloomington is seeking a warming house attendant to supervise the park shelter and outdoor ice rink, enforce skating rules, assist skaters and maintain a clean facility.
Responsibilities include recording attendance, filing injury reports, coordinating shift schedules, and performing light maintenance. This temporary, non-union role runs through Feb 26, 2027, with shifts totaling about 20–30 hours per week; start date December 2, 2026.

Warming house attendantresponsibilities include supervision of park shelter and outdoor ice rinks, enforcement of park & skating rules, interacting with and helping skaters, recording daily skating attendance, treating injuries to skaters and requesting emergency assistance, completing injury reports, preparing monthly work schedules with assigned partner and performing basic building maintenance such as sweeping floors and shoveling walkways.
Employment dates are tentatively from Monday, December 2, 2026 through Friday, February 26, 2027, weather permitting. Shelter buildings are scheduled to be open Daily: Monday through Thursday 4-8 pm, Friday 4-9 pm, Saturdays from 10am-9pm and Sundays from 12pm-8pm. One person is assigned to each shift, working approximately 20-30 hours per week. Substitute/on-call positions are also available.
A seasonal employee who works until at least February 26th will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck.
A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork required within one week of employees start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible.
This position does not supervises others.
$16.00 Hourly
2026 Full Salary Range: $16.12 – $18.86 Hourly
