Job summary

Link Restaurant Group is hiring a professional host/hostess in New Orleans to be the welcoming face of Herbsaint and other venues. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and maintain the front door area with a friendly, organized approach.

The role requires at least 1 year of hosting or restaurant experience in a busy setting, strong communication, and a collaborative attitude. Competitive wages, health insurance, and dining discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of host and/or restaurant experience in a high-volume environment
• Ability to work in an organized and professional manner
• Stand/walk for long periods and manage busy front-of-house
• Strong communication and hospitality skills

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the restaurant by name if possible and thank guests leaving
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and front door
• Answer phone and take reservations
• Seat guests quickly and according to standards
• Communicate delays or waits clearly to guests
• Ensure menus and wine lists are clean and presentable
• Provide menus and a welcoming farewell to guests
• Note special requests and party details for the server/manager
• Engage management for guest issues or complaints
• Prepare guest routing and assist with seating flow
• Keep bathrooms clean and stocked as needed
• Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
