Yona is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide in a resident-care setting. The role emphasizes warm, friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers, with duties including operating washers/dryers, transporting linen, and maintaining a clean laundry area. Experience is not required but preferred, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively with residents and personnel.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
• Laundry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transports laundry containers of soiled linen and clean linen carts.
• Operates commercial washing machines and dryers.
• Sorts and loads soiled linen into washers and loads clean, wet linens into dryers.
• Proceeds to fold clean, dry linen and place into clean carts.
• Keeps accurate records of linen inventory.
• Washes, dries, folds and distributes customer clothing.
• Maintains equipment and the laundry areas, cleans and keeps areas in a neat orderly and safe manner.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Delivers laundry as specified.
• Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual's needs and rights.
