Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of dining or customer service experience.
• Valid Food Handler’s Permit or ServeSafe Certification as required by state.
• Basic customer service skills and a welcoming personality.
• Patience and willingness to care for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Strong attention to detail with table setup and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome residents and guests into the dining room with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Assist residents and guests with seating and provide menus.
• Take resident food orders and serve meals in a polished, attentive manner.
• Communicate with residents throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
• Set, clear, and reset dining tables promptly and efficiently.
• Refill beverages and ensure condiments and other dining supplies are stocked.
• Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the dining room.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and other dining surfaces as needed.
• Follow all company food-handling, safety, sanitation, infection control, and loss-prevention procedures.
• Maintain required hygiene and appearance standards.
• Communicate positively and professionally with residents, families, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
