Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense seeks a highly analytical Financial Analyst III for the Warfighter Systems division in Roanoke, VA. This role provides critical FP&A support across planning, pricing, and program finance, partnering cross-functionally to drive financial performance and actionable insights.

The ideal candidate blends strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data, influence decisions, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 3+ years FP&A experience in a project/program manufacturing/engineering environment
• Defense contracting experience and knowledge of FAR/DFARS is a plus
• Strong financial modeling and data-analysis capabilities
• Proven work ethic with ability to work independently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with problem-solving skills
• Advanced MS Excel skills and pivot-table proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly results and updated forecasts for orders, backlog, P&L, cash flow, and working capital.
• Consolidate data and metrics for monthly reviews; prepare Sales/Orders forecasts and risk/opportunity reviews.
• Advise management on budget and cost variances; provide analysis to leadership.
• Partner with BD, Product Line Management, Engineering, and Program Management on forecasting and decision making.
• Support POCC forecasting and PBP modeling for government projects.
• Provide monthly headcount and overhead data; explain variance drivers to budget owners.
