Job summary

Lactalis USA, based in Buffalo, NY, is hiring a Warehouseperson Trainee (Reach Truck). The role performs distribution facility duties, including shipping/receiving and daily computer transactions, while operating a Reach Truck safely.

Responsibilities include GMP/Quality controls, accurate paperwork, stock rotation via FIFO, and collaboration with production teams. Candidates with forklift experience and strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experienced forklift operation/knowledge.
• Stand up deep-reach truck experience is a plus.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of computer software, inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a Reach Truck in a safe and responsible manner.
• Practices the highest standards of GMP’s and Quality Control procedures.
• Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use.
• Ensures accurate documentation of all paperwork.
• Completes activity movement sheets daily.
• Rotates stock in a FIFO format.
• Selects the proper product for customer orders.
• Maintains a clean work environment daily.
• Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily.
• Performs monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.
• Works closely with the production departments.
• Maintains open communication between fellow workers.
• Reports any product or property damage to supervisor.
