Job summary

Lactalis American Group Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will lead forklift operations, ensure safety, and coordinate shipping/receiving in a fast-paced dairy facility.

The ideal candidate has forklift experience, inventory control know-how, and familiarity with AS400 and MS Office. A High School Diploma and 2–4 years supervisory experience are required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of perishable and dry goods handling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer software (MS Office, ERP).
• Experience with FIFO systems, inventory control, cycle counts.
• AS400 Prism knowledge; Word and Excel a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions directly related to a manufacturing facility.

• Reports to the warehouse manager for daily operations and job assignments.
• Supervises the implementation of SOPs, GMPs and Quality Control formats.
• Supervises staffing of production requisitions.
• Ensure all employees are punched in for shift start.
• Ensure proper PPE and uniform compliance.
• Ships/receives goods and raw materials per SOPs.
• Check battery rotation/charging for drivers.
• Process HOLDS with forklift operator; verify quantities.
• Run bills of lading and product transfers on AS400.
• Participate in inventories and cycle counts.

Supervisor based in Buffalo, New York.

Will work 2nd & 3rd shift. Sunday/Monday are days off.

Summary:

Perform Supervisory functions in the parameters set-forth by the parent company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform functions directly related to a manufacturing facility.
2. Perform shipping and receiving functions.
3. Perform operational computer transactions.
4. Reports to the warehouse manager for daily operations and job assignments in an efficient and professional manner.
5. Supervises the implementation of all S.O.P. procedures, GMP policies and Quality Control formats.
6. Supervises the selection and staffing of all production requisitions.
7. Ensure all employees are punched in for their shift start.
8. Ensure all employees are properly equipped with a uniform; helmet, safety glasses, hairnet, etc.
9. Ships and receives all manufactured goods and raw materials according to South Park S.O.P. policies.
10. Check the rotation and charging of driver’s batteries.
11. Processes all dispositional HOLDS with the forklift operator – verifies quantities and properly identifies in relation to the disposition.
12. Ships and receives all loads assigned by the department manager.
13. Runs bills of lading and process product transfers on the AS400 when required.
14. Participates in monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with the department manager.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experienced forklift knowledge/operator necessary.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of computer software is necessary.
• Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.
• AS400 Prism knowledge, Word and Excel a plus.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma.
• 2-4 years of Supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
