Job summary

Lactalis USA in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Warehouseperson Trainee (Reach Truck). The role performs shipping and receiving, operates a Reach Truck, and supports daily distribution operations.

You will rotate stock, maintain inventory accuracy with RF terminals, participate in monthly inventories, and collaborate with production. High school diploma expected; prior warehouse experience preferred; comprehensive benefits exist.

Qualifications

• Experienced forklift operation/knowledge.
• Stand-up deep-reach truck experience a plus.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of computer software. Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a Reach Truck safely and efficiently.
• Maintains GMP and Quality Control standards.
• Documents safety checks on tow motor.
• Ensures accurate paperwork documentation.
• Completes daily activity movement sheets.
• Rotates stock using FIFO.
• Selects correct products for orders.
• Maintains a clean work environment.
• Operates RF terminals daily.
• Performs monthly inventories and cycle counts.
• Collaborates with production departments.
• Maintains open communication with colleagues.
• Reports product or property damage to supervisor.

Warehouseperson Trainee (Reach Truck) based in Buffalo, New York.

Summary: Performs functions directly related to a distribution facility. Performs shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transaction daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• 1.Operates a Reach Truck in a safe and responsible manner.
• 2.Practices the highest standards of GMP's and Quality Control procedures.
• 3.Documents safety checks on tow motor prior to use.
• 4.Ensures accurate documentation of all paperwork.
• 5.Completes activity movement sheets daily.
• 6.Rotates stock in a FIFO format.
• 7.Selects the proper product for customer orders.
• 8.Maintains a clean work environment daily.
• 9.Maintains and operates the RF terminals daily.
• 10.Performs monthly physical inventories as designated by the corporate staff, and performs cycle counts with
• the department manager.
• 11.Works closely with the production departments.
• 12.Maintains open communication between fellow workers.
• 13.Reports any product or property damage to supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experienced forklift operation/knowledge.
• Experience with a stand up deep-reach truck a plus.
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of computer software. Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO systems formats preferred.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred.
