Job summary

Hansen Bros. Moving & Storage is hiring a Warehouseman to receive and unload goods, keep a safe, organized warehouse, and support moving crews.

Shifts at Seattle, Lynnwood, or Newcastle locations; full-time or part-time hours available. We offer competitive pay ($22.00–$25.00 per hour), 90% of base medical insurance paid, 401(k) with company matching, paid holidays, sick leave and vacation, a generous bonus program, uniform provision, and opportunities for advancement including no-cost CDL

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US.
• Experience in warehouse operations and forklift driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload goods, inspect condition and quantity.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
• Staging goods and assisting moving crews as needed.
• Document inventory and coordinate with staff and customers.
• Support safety compliance and daily operations.

The Warehouseman is responsible for following directions from Operations management, receiving and unloading goods, performing warehouse activities, and ensuring the safety, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse. This warehouseman job position is available full-time or part-time.

Competitive Pay – $22.00/hour to $25.00/hour

Warehouseman Duties And Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading household goods both by hand and with forklifts and pallet jacks
• Reviewing goods and documenting condition and quantity
• Staging goods
• Performing regular warehouse inventories and maintaining accurate records
• Communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow staff members
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with internal and external safety standards
• Assisting household goods moving crews
• Other duties as requested
• Interacting with customers and fellow staff in a friendly manner
• Creating satisfied customers through hard work and great customer service.

Position Requirements: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the warehouseman job position.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must submit to a pre-employment illegal drug test
• Must submit to a pre-employment background check
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Must be eligible to work within the US
• Must have previous warehouse experience
• Must have previous forklift driving experience
• Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 70 pounds unassisted
• Must be capable of reaching with hands and arms as necessary
• Must be capable of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as necessary
• Must be able to carry and climb a ladder as necessary
• Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate reliable attendance
• Must be a good team player and have a positive attitude with colleagues & customers
