Hansen Bros Moving & Storage Co. in the Seattle area seeks a Driver/Mover to serve as Crew Leader for packing, loading, transport, and delivery. Prior moving experience is not required — we provide paid training!

This full-time/part-time/seasonal role is available at Seattle, Lynnwood, and Newcastle locations. Competitive pay from $23.00/hour to $33.00/hour plus tips, with benefits including health coverage, 401K matching, paid holidays, vacation, and a no-cost CDL training option to advance

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must submit to pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Team player with positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Review job requirements with Ops and crew.
• Drive truck to loading point and consult with customers.
• Protect furniture from damage per standards.
• Carry items between residence/facility and vehicle.
• Load, weigh distribution, and maximize space.
• Drive to destination and unload cargo safely.
• Supervise crew and give clear directions.
• Interact with customers and staff professionally.
• Create satisfied customers through hard work and service.

The driver mover job position serves as Crew Leader for packing, loading, transport, and delivery services. Prior moving experience is not required – we provide paid training! This position is available as full-time, part-time, or seasonal (summer months).

Competitive Pay – $23.00/hour to $33.00/hour + TIPS

• Non-CDL Driver: No moving experience required – $23.00/hour start and earn up to $28.00/hour with experience.
• Class B CDL Driver: No moving experience required – $25.00/hour start and earn up to $30.00/hour with experience.
• Class A CDL Driver: No moving experience required – $29.00/hour start and earn up to $33.00/hour with experience.

Driver/Mover Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviewing the job requirements with Ops and the assigned crew
• Driving the truck to the loading point (origin) and consulting with the customer on the process
• Protecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment from damage, according to established standards
• Carrying items between the residence/facility and the vehicle/container
• Loading the truck, distributing weight evenly, forming a compact load, and utilizing space efficiently
• Driving the truck to the destination and unloading cargo efficiently and safely
• Carrying items between vehicle/container and residence/facility in accordance with customers’ wishes
• Reviewing inventory of items to be loaded and assuring that all items loaded are delivered
• Supervising crew throughout the moving process, giving clear directions
• Interacting with customers and fellow staff in a friendly manner
• Creating satisfied customers through hard work and great customer service

Position Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must submit to a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana)
• Must submit to a pre-employment background check
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
• Must be eligible to work within the US
• Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be capable of reaching with hands and arms as necessary
• Must be capable of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as necessary
• Must be able to carry and climb a ladder as necessary
• Must be self-motivated and demonstrate reliable attendance
• Must be a good team player and have a positive attitude with colleagues & customers
