Job summary

PureField Ingredients in Russell, KS is seeking a Warehouse/Yard Operator to support packaging, warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations at our Wheat Plant. This hands-on role safely handles finished products, loads trucks and railcars, operates packaging equipment, and upholds food safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, agricultural, shipping, or receiving preferred.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and bulk bag filling systems.
• Set up packaging lines, load bag magazines, and verify lot coding information.
• Inspect and document magnets and other food safety control points.
• Inspect and clean pallets, packaging materials, and ingredient containers.
• Load and inspect van trucks, bulk trucks, and railcars according to established procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Move and store finished products in designated warehouse locations.
• Complete forklift inspections and required operational documentation.
• Follow procedures for damaged product, product reclaim, and material handling.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness through housekeeping and sanitation activities.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, contractors, and plant personnel.
• Follow all company safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Hot Work procedures.
• Comply with all SQF, FSMA, food safety, and quality requirements.
• Attend required safety and food safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
