Job summary

KLN Family Brands is seeking a Day Shift Yard Driver to manage shipping, receiving, and yard movements in our Perham, MN facilities. You will operate shuttle trucks and forklifts, maintain orderly yards, and support inventory accuracy in a safety‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• General math skills required for shop floor tasks.
• Self-motivation and ability to follow a sequence of procedures.
• Willing to work well with others and show good judgement.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and pass certification.
• Current CDL license and updated Health Card required.
• Average computer skills for reporting and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate shipping, receiving and product movements.
• Keep finished products organized in warehouses.
• Load/unload trucks safely and properly.
• Drive shuttle truck to deliver and pick up goods as needed.
• Operate yard truck and inspect equipment daily.
• Maintain storage trailer lot organization and reconciliation.
• When needed, back up material handler duties and count inventory.
• Identify efficiency opportunities and report safety issues.

Shift – Kenny's Candy & Confections

Hours: 6:45am to 3:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Compensation

• All in hourly compensation: $23.60/hr
  • Base Pay: $22.48hr
  • Sign on Bonus: $1.22/hr worked
• Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment ($7.7 Million in Profits Paid to Profit Sharing Pool in 2025)

What We Are Looking For

We’re now hiring a Day Shift Yard Driver position to to define the responsibilities and provide instructions for tasks performed by warehouse yard truck drivers.

Essential Duties

• Perform accurate and timely shipping, receiving, and movements of products.
• Keep finished products organized and located properly in warehouses.
• Rotate ingredients and packaging in their proper locations after receiving.
• Proper and accurate loading and unloading of trucks.
• Drive the shuttle truck to deliver and pickup product and supplies as necessary.
• Perform daily yard truck inspections and maintain overall yard truck cleanliness.
• Shuttling and moving storage trailers in a timely fashion.
• Keep storage trailer lot organized.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies as discovered.
• Forklift, shuttle truck operation and being certified and licensed to drive such vehicles.
• Operate the shrink wrapper, box crusher, etc. as necessary.
• Perform physical and cycle counts of inventory as necessary.
• Backup or substitute material handler positions when necessary.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity gains.
• Place raw materials, packaging and finished goods on hold and release as necessary.
• Report any safety issues, unsafe conditions.
