Job summary

Northcentral Telcom (NCT) in Menomonee Falls, WI is seeking a full-time Warehouse Worker - Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure precise, timely handling of materials and accurate inventory records. You will verify shipments, operate within our computer system, assemble cables and tool kits, and transport items to job sites when required.

The role runs 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Ability to assemble cables and use tools.
• Stand, walk, sit, bend and lift 10–25 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Open incoming/outgoing boxes and compare with inventory records.

• Prepare work orders, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
• Distribute items per customer specs and production schedule.
• Determine shipping methods based on routes and rates.
• Coordinate with carrier reps for shipping arrangements.

ABOUT THIS JOB

Our Warehouse Workers - Shipping & Receiving Clerks typically work from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Some flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.

You'll play a key part in accurate, efficient, and timely shipping and receiving processes by verifying the accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments and maintaining up-to-date inventory records. You'll work within our computer system, operate various machinery, and complete hands-on responsibilities like assembling cables and tool kits. Field crews may also submit work orders/material requests, and you'll be responsible for gathering the correct supplies and transporting them to job sites in a company vehicle. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

• Opening incoming/outgoing boxes and containers to review contents and compare with inventory records
• Identifying shortages, damages, and discrepancies and contacting establishment representatives to address the issue
• Marking materials and moving them to and from the receiving, production, and/or storage areas using forklifts, conveyors, and hand trucks
• Accurately documenting crucial information like weights and amounts of materials received
• Preparing work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders, and other documents
• Moving, distributing, and gathering items based on customer specifications, work orders, requisitions, and the production schedule
• Determining shipping methods based on routes, rates, and procedures
• Contacting carrier reps as needed for instructions and to make shipping arrangements
• Packing, sealing, labeling, and preparing materials for shipping

WAREHOUSE WORKER - SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK REQUIREMENTS

• Forklift certification

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, and lift/move 10 - 25 pounds
